Finger Holes-continued

Use the fettling knife (tool #4) to scrape off the rough edges left by the drill bits and to fill in any nicks in the clay.

Next insert the shanks of the drill bits into the holes to smooth the inner edges.

From the inside, use tool #2 (the curved end) to bevel the underside edges of the finger holes.

This beveling (under cutting) of the finger holes adds a very small amount of volume to the interior of the ocarina.

When finished, the finger holes should look like this from the inside.
