Brian Ransom "Hooter"


This is an ocarina made by Brian Ransom which he calls a "Hooter." This one was bought from him in Claremont, California in the spring of 1989 at a folk music festival.

The hand slides over the large hole to change the pitch while playing.

The airway has a large exit slot. The air stream is not compressed much, which creates an airier sound.
