Double Ocarinas

Anita Feng's double ocarina in fourths has the 4 hole "English" style tuning with one small exception. There are 2 finger holes located in the position where the smallest or "first" finger hole is normally placed by itself. These two finger holes are uncovered as one when playing the basic 8 note Major scale. The smallest of the two holes is used when playing flats/sharps.
The two chambers are served by a shared mouthpiece/airway.

The John Langley double ocarina is pitched in unison (same key for both chambers). The fingering is the 4 hole "English" system. The fourth or largest finger holes are on the underside of the ocarina, covered by the thumbs.

This ocarina's two chambers also share the mouthpiece/wind way.

These pictures of the Aketa double were saved from the web. I don't have one of these so my pictures of this ocarina are limited. For more info about this maker's ocarina read this recent post to the Ocarinaclub.
Unlike the Langley and Anita Feng ocarinas, the Aketa ocarina's two chambers are each served by its own wind way.

These last two double ocarinas both use a 4 plus 1 finger hole "English" fingering system. The small thumb holes are for flats/sharps.
These two pieces are performed by Jenny Jensen on a double ocarina in fourths made by K Dunster.

In both of these ocarinas, each of the two chambers has a separate wind way. This allows the chambers to be played separately or together.
