Cutting and Hollowing the Mold

Make two marks lengthwise on the form. These will help to re-align the two pieces of the mold after it has been cut and hollowed out.

Use the cutting wire to slice the form in two.

Use the rounded ends of the trimming (loop) tool (#1) to scoop out the clay in the centers of the two pieces. Leave a fairly thick wall.

The hollowed out mold pieces. The inside does not have to be smooth, but the wall thickness should be fairly even, but it doesn't have to be perfect.
